Katelyn Carter
Katelyn is the Rural SART Program Coordinator, with over 12 years of experience supporting victim/ survivors of sexual assault. Her journey in advocacy began during her time at St. Cloud State University, where she first became involved in supporting survivors.
Prior to her current role, Katelyn worked with Men as Peacemakers, facilitating their Domestic Violence Restorative Circle Program, where she helped offenders take accountability for their actions and work toward repairing the harm they caused. In this role she supported survivors and their families, while also coordinating volunteers and leading circles. Katelyn has also served as an advocate and housing case manager, assisting victims and survivors in rural Northern Minnesota with a wide range of needs, including housing, medical support, and legal services.
In addition, she is an active member of the Olmstead County Mobilizing Olmstead Voices for Equity Committee, where she works to advance equity and justice in her community.
Outside of her professional work, Katelyn enjoys reading, being with her family, spending time outdoors, and knitting.
