Nikki James

Nikki comes to MNCASA with a broad administrative background including in law, higher education, corporate enterprise, and non-profits.  Most recently, she was the Office Coordinator and Bookkeeper for almost 7 years at the Central MN Sexual Assault Center in St. Cloud, MN.

Nikki’s educational background is in the field of cultural geography, focused on the study of the nature of social spaces of street-level service delivery and creating these spaces in an accessible and culturally competent way.  Her research has focused specifically on (Irish) services for recently arrived migrant youth and on the workers who deliver these services under the guise of unclear, racist, and often unachievable policy directives.  Nikki hopes to blend her research background and her administrative work history to be of the best service possible in supporting MNCASA’s staff and programming.

Nikki enjoys traveling, photography, collage and other paper arts, and spending time with her partner and her cats, Iris and Norman.
