This year’s Symposium will be held May 6-7 at Chase on the Lake in Walker\, MN. \nThis year’s theme\, Real-World Healing: Tools for Supporting Survivors and Sustaining Ourselves\, will focus on practical tools and creative strategies that help advocates support victims/survivors while also caring for themselves and their teams. \nView the schedule and workshops. \n  \nRegistration\nYour registration fee includes access to keynotes\, workshops\, wellness activities\, and two lunches. Registration will remain open until April 20. \n\n\n\n\nMNCASA Member\n$125.00\n\n\n\nNon-Member\n$200.00\n\n\n\n  \nScholarships\nScholarships are available to Partner Program Members to cover the registration fee. If you are a Partner Program Member and the registration fee will prohibit you from attending the Symposium\, please reach out to us at membership@mncasa.org to request a scholarship to waive the fee. DESCRIPTION:MIWSAC’s Native-focused\, 40-Hour Sexual Assault Advocacy Curriculum was created by Native women experts in the field. It is designed for Tribal communities\, and non-Native service providers working with and for Native people who have been impacted by sexual violence. \nTuesday and Thursday afternoons throughout March. Learn more and view the schedule here. \nThe goal of this Native-focused curriculum is to provide new and seasoned advocates with knowledge and skills they need to provide culturally responsive\, survivor-centered training for victims/survivors of sexual violence. \nThis curriculum meets the requirements of the State of Minnesota\, Statute 595.02 to ensure communication between advocates and victims of sexual assault is considered privileged information. \nThis curriculum may also be used for Tribal advocates in states other than Minnesota.
