Salary range: $50,000-$55,000

Job Summary:

The communications and Development Coordinator tells Cornerstone’s story in engaging and compelling ways.  This position is an integral member of the development team, which is responsible for the implementation of a strategic work plan to achieve Cornerstone’s annual fundraising goal.  The Communication and Development Coordinator is responsible for fundraising and outreach events and for Cornerstone’s overall communications strategy, including web content and maintenance, marketing and print newsletters, social media, and oversight, management, and dissemination of Cornerstone’s print marketing material. 

Experience/Qualifications
  • A minimum of two years of experience in communication preferred
  • Skilled in Microsoft Office Suite, graphic design (Adobe Creative Suite Preferred), website management (Wordpress Preferred), email marketing (Constant Contact preferred), and event planning

Qualifications and Key Skill Sets
  • Must have excellent written and verbal skills, including being a skilled storyteller
  • Have a passion for Cornerstone’s mission and the ability to communicate the organization’s mission and vision effectively
  • Demonstrate the ability to forge and maintain relationships critical to the agency’ future
  • Independent and self-motivated with strong planning and project management skills, including demonstrated ability to meet deadlines.

Essential Functions:
 
  •  Develop and implement annual communications, ensuring that all communication activities follow brand guidelines
  • Mange website content development and serves as primary website administrator in collaboration with contracted support team
  • Write, design and distribute month e-newsletter through Constant Contact, as well as monthly newsletters specifically for program participants
  • Coordinate the production and dissemination of all Cornerstone print materials, including writing, design, budgeting, maintaining the agency’s inventory of materials, and managing relationships with print vendors
  • Create engaging posts and campaigns on Cornerstone’s social media, taking audience and communication goals into consideration
  • Track and analyze metrics to measure the effectiveness of current digital marketing efforts and to inform future communication strategy
  • Serves as a primary public relations contact, seeking out communication with media outlets, developing press kits and press releases.
  • Develop and implement annual work plan for the agency’s fundraising events, including logistics, budget program, sponsorships, vendor relationships, attendee registration, promotion and other communications-related tasks.  Serves as day-of-contact and prepare financial reports post event. 
  • Keep up with changing trends, best practices and research in the fields of domestic violence, sexual violence, human trafficking, and general crime. 
  • Organize and lead Cornerstone’s holiday gift program, which connects donors with the needs of Cornerstone’s participants.
  • Design annual report, case for support materials, informational flyers, slides, and other graphics for the agency as a whole and for the individual teams.
