Executive Director: Minnesota Coalition Against Sexual Assault (MNCASA)MNCASA, a leader in addressing sexual violence, is searching for a dynamic and community-centric Executive Director. This role is a unique opportunity for a seasoned executive with a passion for building tools and programming to end sexual assault. kpCompanies is leading this critical search, seeking a transformative leader to make a significant impact in the community.
About MNCASA:Founded in 1978 as a grassroots group, MNCASA has grown into a powerful statewide coalition that drives cultural transformation to tackle sexual violence through advocacy, prevention, racial justice, and systemic change. Our vision is a world free from sexual violence, where all individuals are treated with dignity and respect, and communities are empowered through safety, healing, and partnerships. The Minnesota Coalition Against Sexual Assault (MNCASA) provides leadership, resources and support for sexual assault programs and allies, focusing on prevention and a socially just response for all victims/survivors, particularly those from underrepresented communities.
Position Overview: The Executive Director of MNCASA will be responsible for leading the organization's strategic direction, managing its operations, and advocating for systemic change. This role involves working closely with the board, staff, members, and community partners to foster a collaborative environment and ensure the effective delivery of programs and services.
Key Responsibilities:• Lead strategic planning and implementation to achieve MNCASA's mission and vision.• Advocate for policy changes and build relationships with key stakeholders.• Oversee financial management, including budgeting and resource allocation.• Diversify funding, focusing on philanthropic and earned revenue.• Engage and collaborate with community partners, donors, and policymakers.• Ensure the development and delivery of high-impact programs and services.• Champion diversity, equity, and inclusion within the organization and its initiatives.• Supervise the Directors Team and coordinate with the Board of Directors.• Represent MNCASA to external stakeholders and complete assigned tasks.• Proven experience in managing, supervising, and cultivating staff.
Minimum Qualifications on Entry:• Proven experience as an Executive Director or in a similar leadership role within a nonprofit.• Strong commitment to ending sexual violence.• Demonstrated ability in strategic planning and organizational leadership.• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and advocacy skills.• Experience in financial management, fundraising, and community engagement.• Deep understanding of racial justice and experience working with diverse communities.
Preferred Qualifications:• Master’s Degree.• Completion of 40-Hour Sexual Assault Advocacy Training.• Experience managing advocate and crisis service programming.• Experience in nonprofits focused on sexual violence or direct service to survivors.
