Partner Hosted Training: Sexual Assault Nurse Examiner (SANE) 2-day Clinical Skills Lab (Hennepin Healthcare)
Target Audience: External and internal RNs and APRNs. Other disciplines that may attend are external/internal physicians or physician assistants
This hands-on skills training is designed for sexual assault nurse examiners (SANEs), Forensic Nurse Examiners (FNEs), or other providers of medical forensic care who are looking to increase their knowledge and improve their skills providing post-assault care to adult and adolescent patients. Attendees of the lab will practice skills including evidence collection, speculum exams, forensic photography, obtaining informed consent, and more. Pre-requisite is completion of a 40-hour didactic SANE class.
This nursing continuing professional development activity was approved by the International Association of Forensic Nurses, an accredited approver by the American Nurses Credentialing Center’s Commission on Accreditation.

MINIMUM REGISTRATION INFORMATION:
The minimum required enrollment for this course is 10 participants. If minimum enrollment is not met, the sessions will be canceled. You will be notified via email if the sessions are canceled.
