WoMen’s Rural Advocacy Programs, Inc. (WRAP)

WRAP’s prevention work through the Comprehensive Primary Prevention Program (CPPP) focuses on engaging youth and communities in conversations about healthy relationships, boundaries, and technology safety. A central part of this work is the Plan.Post.Play workbook, developed by WRAP staff in partnership with youth and community collaborators. Through school-based education, skills groups, and community outreach, WRAP works to build skills and prevent violence before it occurs.

Youth often share that they have not had access to this type of information before and that having open, honest conversations about relationships and online safety makes a difference. WRAP currently engages more than 450 youth each year, and demand continues to grow as more young people seek out these conversations and supports.

This need is reinforced by community partners across WRAP’s service area. Feedback from WRAP’s community partner survey conducted March 19–31, 2026, pointed to a clear demand for expanded school-based prevention efforts, earlier intervention, and more accessible education around healthy relationships and boundaries.

The Plan.Post.Play workbook was developed based on real experiences and feedback from youth. It helps young people think critically about technology use, build healthy relationship skills, and recognize unsafe situations. This work meets youth where they are and gives them tools they can use in their daily lives.

Why It's Needed

Community Partners

WRAP partners with local schools, community organizations, and statewide leaders to support prevention efforts. This includes collaboration with the Minnesota Coalition Against Sexual Assault through CPPP, as well as partnerships with school districts across Redwood County, Lyon County, and Yellow Medicine County to provide prevention education and implement the Plan.Post.Play curriculum.

The development of the Plan.Post.Play workbook was supported through funding from the Minnesota Office of Justice Programs (OJP) through the FVPSA-SA Special Project Grant awarded to WRAP, effective August 15, 2024 through June 30, 2025.
