This webinar will review strategies to aid nonprofit organizations in building organizational resilience during challenging times.  The nonprofit sector is at the precipice of change.  Will your organization rise to the challenge or will it remain unmoved?

Kenosha Davenport

Alabama native, Kenosha Davenport believes in a strong work ethic and is dedicated to serving others. Kenosha is the Executive Director of the Sexual Violence Center in Minneapolis, Minnesota. Davenport is responsible for the overall agency direction, fundraising, fiscal oversight, programmatic oversight and managing external relationships and collaboration.

 

Davenport spent more than 16 years working in rural communities of Alabama and West Virginia. During her tenure in Alabama, Davenport was able to develop and implement prevention strategies in rural communities. In addition, Davenport was able to develop and implement rapid re-housing programs and a task force to address homelessness for domestic violence and sexual violence victims.

 

Kenosha earned a Bachelor’s of Arts degree with a dual major in psychology and sociology from the University of Alabama in Huntsville, in 2004. She returned to college and went on to earn a Master of Business Administration from Marylhurst University, in 2014. She is currently working on a Doctor of Business Administration from Walden University. Davenport has facilitated training workshops at local, state and national conferences. In addition, she has served as a consultant for Praxis International, National Resource Center for Domestic Violence, VALOR US, and SAFE-Louisiana.

 

Davenport has presented on topics such as Program Sustainability, Financial Sustainability, Sexual Assault Advocacy, Decision-Making, and various Human Resources topics.

 

Throughout her career, Kenosha has served on many community and state level boards. She is currently serving on the board of directors for Violence Free Minnesota and Minnesota Coalition Against Sexual Assault, where she serves as the Board President. In addition, Davenport serves as Board Treasurer for Northeast Minneapolis Arts Association.
