Difficult Conversations Within Your SART: Building Trust, Accountability, and Stronger Collaboration

Multidisciplinary teams are built on shared purpose, but collaboration does not mean everyone will always agree. Differences in perspectives, professional roles, organizational priorities, and community realities can sometimes create tension within a SART. Learning how to navigate difficult conversations is essential to maintaining trust, strengthening partnerships, and ensuring the team remains focused on supporting survivors.
This Connection Call will explore strategies for addressing conflict, navigating challenging discussions, and creating a culture where team members feel empowered to share concerns, ask questions, and work through differences respectfully. Participants will examine how communication patterns, power dynamics, and unspoken challenges can impact team functioning and explore tools for moving from conflict avoidance toward meaningful dialogue. Through reflection, discussion, and shared experiences, participants will identify ways to approach difficult conversations with curiosity, accountability, and a commitment to improving the multidisciplinary response.
