Let’s Talk COLAs.

As we prepare for another year of supporting our teams and providing services to victims/survivors, a familiar question resurfaces. How do we make sure that staff wages are keeping up with rising costs even when our grant funding isn’t? We know that staff recruitment and retention are critical components of organizational health, but it can feel nearly impossible to offer the competitive pay necessary to compensate the staff we have and attract new talent in our field. This becomes even more challenging when the cost of housing, gas, food, and other basic needs are skyrocketing.

Join us for our October Program Director’s call to discuss how cost of living adjustments are being managed within our field and share knowledge about creative ways to build these costs into our budgets. We know that there isn’t a magic solution to this problem. The goal of this conversation is to work together to identify opportunities to show our teams that we recognize the stress they’re feeling at a time when every dollar counts.
