Weigh-In Wednesday: How Does Your Team Handle Turnover?
People leave their jobs. Turnover is a fact of life, no matter where you work or what you do. In responding to sexual violence, we know that the turnover rate happens a little faster than some other occupations. This turnover has a deep impact on Sexual Assault Response Teams (SARTs), because teams usually rely upon relationships that are intentionally built. When someone leaves a position—for whatever reason—the team has to keep moving forward and then, onboard a new person to the team’s work.
To start this month of talking about team member and agency turnover, I want to invite folks to provide their wisdom or experience with turnover. Do you have a way that works for managing team turnover? Do you have questions or ideas you want to run by others? Leave it all in the comments!
