Black Women’s Blueprint Culturally Specific Model
Black Women’s Blueprint has expanded upon the CDC’s Social-Ecological Model to demonstrate that additional factors are present within our world and must be considered. Black Women’s Blueprint utilizes a Black feminist lens in their approach to primary prevention to include levels that speak to the structural, historical, environmental, and spiritual aspects present in our culture. These additional levels emphasize the need for accountability on behalf of oppressive systems that continue to perpetuate violence and inequity from a historical perspective.
