This Connection Call provides a refresher and shared understanding of the Sexual Assault Response Team (SART) case file review process. The training is designed to support multidisciplinary teams: law enforcement, advocacy, prosecution, medical forensic examiners, and other partners, in strengthening coordinated sexual assault response through structured case file review. Case file review is a systems-change tool that allows SARTs to examine real case documentation to better understand how sexual assault cases are actually processed within the criminal/legal system. Rather than focusing on individual performance, the process identifies patterns, themes, gaps, and strengths across agencies in order to improve victim-centered response, interagency collaboration, and system accountability.
